Shout-outs. Srsly.

My kids are so fired up about being mentioned in the latest srsly guys? video.

What?!? You don’t know about srsly guys? It’s a group of srsly talented high-school students whose very funny videos poke fun at the stupid things we all see people do in everyday life. Great stuff.

But why did they give my kids a shout-out?

It all started when two of my sons tested their skills in a sack race and a stick-horse race at Pumpkinfest, a fall festival held at the Pony Express Museum in St. Joseph, Mo.

Turns out the young man running the race booth at the festival is someone we knew, sort of. Except we didn’t know it yet.

After seeing himself in a picture from one of my blog posts, Mikah Sargent sent me a reply on Twitter. We traded tweets and I told him my son, the one from the sack race, was a big fan of his. In fact, my son recognized Mikah from the srsly guys? t-shirts we saw online one night. (I bought this one.)

Do they sell those shirts in kids sizes? Because I know of a couple guys who might add them to the Christmas list. Srsly.

This is great! I wish they sold the shirts in kids sizes, but the smallest they offer is a small. Thanks for the mention!

Man, I should’ve brought those donuts home and started loading my kids up so I can get them into a small t-shirt 😉
